We run workshops that will help you with your singing, through voice exercises, vocal warmups and with hints and singing tips to improve your technique. If you want to learn about singing and how to sing safely, we provide lots of fun and relaxed, group singing workshops, to help you get the best out of your voice. Visit our website Arbutus Music to find out what is coming up and how to get in touch.
This lively group of singers meets for two hours every Wednesday at 1.30pm in term time at the Ingatestone Parish Rooms in Stock Lane.
We learn to make the best of our voices with encouragement and good technique. You don't have to be able to sing, for many people this is the first singing they have done for years.

Writtle Singers is a highly respected mixed-voice choir dedicated to performing music to the highest standard and enjoying ourselves doing it – that way, we know our audience will enjoy themselves too.
Although Writtle is our home, we come from as far as Southend, Epping and beyond to make music (and eat home-made cakes) every Monday evening.
Our repertoire is varied – in our repertoire list for the last two years you’ll find some old favourites like the St John Passion and Britten’s Flower Songs but also the new and unusual – Cecilia McDowall’s Shipping Forecast and Horowitz’s Horrortorio. We are never afraid to mix the old with the new in the same concert.
With fewer than 30 singers, every voice makes a difference. Development of good singing technique is encouraged in our warm-ups, led by our experienced and talented musical director Christine Gwynn, and by workshops with an internationally renowned vocal coach. Unsurprisingly, then, our soloists are usually drawn from the choir. Visit the website www.writtlesingers.org
